TWO RARE TOWELS in embroidered linen and bobbin lace or crochet, Russia, early 19th century. Piece of hand-woven linen embroidered in cross stitch with red thread of traditional motifs: double-headed eagle, riders, birds ... and bordered with a beautiful lace with spirit stitches on the spindles (240 x 37 cm), the second numbered LB, large ornate crosses embroidered in red, white cotton lace crochet (35 x 240 cm).
