Paul Haasen art studio. Set of 36 original intaglio prints edited by Paul Haasen, mostly for bookplates. They were framed by the Haasen workshops (label on the back and on the glass) for the presentation of their work in the workshops of the printer at 23 rue Vanderzanne (Paris, 13e). This panel includes the bookplates of: Richard M. Washington (with the coat of arms taken from the famous American general's bookplate); Grace Maria (Stone) Kassler (1872-1952) by her son Charles Moffat Kassler (1897-1979) in 1921; Hubert Person (1884-1947, an enlightened Parisian lawyer whose collection was dispersed in 2013 in Chambery) drawn and etched by Nathalie Martin-Sabon (1855-1931); A.A. Robert (Collector of marine books); Matilda S. Fowler in 1927; Charles Gérard with an erotic ex-libris inspired by Füssli; Ex-libris with the arms of Count Potulicki (Polish and German family); Coat of arms of the Ripert and Alauzier alliances (Dauphiné) for Louis de Ripert d'Alauzier (1894-1985, polytechnician, captain of artillery, war cross 14-18 with three citations, member of the armament manufactures, great scholar of the history of Quercy, in particular for the ancient and medieval history, he is biographed by Raymond Sindou in the Nouvelle revue d'onomastique of 1985, p. 185) by LDF (letters under the shield); To the arms of the Cabello family from Castile; To the arms of the Boot family (UK) by the Maquet house (French house of luxury stationery founded by the brothers Hector and Charles Maquet in 1841. Renowned, the House Maquet is successively patented supplier of the Empress Eugenie as well as several European courts what allows him to win numerous prizes and medals in the universal exhibitions); Ruth Walden Hill (1898-1995, American numismatist and billetophile, pioneer of the female numismatic collection. Her involvement earned her a posthumous appointment as Honorary Director of the International Banknote Society for life in 2010 and induction into the IBNS Hall of Fame); Humbert de Viry (1886-1946) by Gaston Hoffmann (1883-1977); P.J Högfeldt (1877-1957, Swedish personality) probably by Robert Högfeldt (1894-1986 in 1940); Alfred de Crozals (1872-1952) by Léon Lebègue (1863-1944, French lithographer, engraver, poster artist and illustrator); Oksana Ordowsky signed in plate S.S; Anne Green (1891-1979) by Sylvain Guillot (famous heraldist engraver settled in rue Volney), after a drawing by Julien Green (1900-1998) brother of Anne; S.A.R Madame la Duchesse de Vendôme, princess of Belgium, Henriette de Belgique (1870-1948) in a copy of three different dimensions, probably engraved by the house Agry; André Meaux Saint-Marc (1885-1941) by himself; Jeanne Lagarde Gueret (around 1867- after 1936, she donated in 1936 5 500 books, newspapers and magazines to the library of the Arsenal, her tomb at the Père Lachaise was realized by Eugène Paul Bénet (1863-1942)); Raymond Guerre (1879- married in 1902, lawyer) by Emile Nourigat (XIX-XX); Count Geoffroy de Failly (1896-1976, Librarian, Knight of Malta, Count of Fay, Cross of War 39-45, author of numerous publications of genealogy); André Lévêque de Vilmorin (1907-1987, French horticulturist, founder and president of the SICASOV, author of a book "Louise de Vilmorin" (Paris 1962, 224 pp), vice-president of the National Horticultural Society from 1950 until his death and honorary president of the Royal Horticultural Society; he is officer of the Legion of Honor, commander of the National Order of Merit and of the Agricultural Merit) by his sister Louise (signed with an L); Louis (or Lou) Léonardi with an erotic ex-libris representing a sleeping woman with a wolf (for Lou or Louis); Julienne Berthe Jeanne Farenc (agrégée d'Anglais in 1920, inspector general of schools) by J. Moreau; Caio Mario de Mello Franco (1896-1955, Minister Plenipotentiary, famous poet of Uruguay, Grand Cross of the Military Order of Christ, Grand Officer of the Military Order of Christ, Officer of the Military Order of Sant'Iago da Espada.) by Sylvain Guillot heraldist engraver in Paris; Lily (Ullmann) Jacquemin (1897-1980, wife of André Jacquemin (1896-1981), industrialist) by J. Builler; Library of the castle of Ericsberg (Sweden) of the baron Bonde, his library was one of the most important of Sweden, containing more than 50 000 volumes; H.H (a member of the Hamilton family?, which would explain the presence of the roses) by RG; Guy Spencer Grist (1907-1903) ? by Stanley William Hayter (1901-1988) in 1930, a similar copy is present in the collections of the British Museum at number 2/3 (at number 1988 0409,17), these bookplates were edited in 3 proofs and 1 proof which is presented here.
