Set of about 97 boxes of stereoscopic positive glass plates (including at least 40 to 60 boxes on China, Japan, Vietnam and Hong-Kong), some boxes on the 1914-18 war front and some miscellaneous.
A notebook is attached to the set containing more than 660 pictures on Asia (plates laminated on the sheets of the notebook).
Also attached is a set of later silver prints in 18x18 cm format and some miscellaneous calligraphy papers.
A large part of the plates are hand-captioned, another part are Richard Verascopes, the rest are without captions.
Set accompanied by a Taxiphote for viewing, in excellent condition.
Views of cities, villages, sites, markets, workers, pagodas, trades, public executions, beheadings, and many shots of railroad construction.
