Large bronze incense burner, Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912)
The body decorated with two elongated cartouches each showing a dragon chasing the pearl in relief, with above inscribed in three large characters "Ten Thousand Years of Joy" between two shishi head handles, on three short chimera-headed feet, the plate at the bottom (detached) stamped with the character "treasure" (takara) and surrounded by auspicious symbols associated with the gods of happiness, wooden base
