Two bronze statuettes of dancers, Japan, by Miyao Eisuke, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century
The bronze with a brown patina and partially gilded, one representing a young boy in shishimai costume, raising his lion mask, and the other a Sambaso dancer in a costume decorated with large flowers, holding a fan, both signed in a rectangular cartouche Miyao and seal Ei, each on its wooden base with gold lacquered patterns.
