Bronze clock with double brown patina and gilded with matte and bright. Decorated with a vestal virgin holding a branch of lily and a smoking Athenian framing the case surmounted by a dog lying down. White enamel dial, signed Gaston Jolly in Paris, with Roman numerals for the hours, and railroad and Arabic numerals for the minutes, in black, underlined by applied swans. Mechanical movement with key winding; wire suspension, star-shaped counting wheel. Rectangular base with applied decoration of medallions, mascarons, lyres and palmettes resting on six toupie feet. Early 19th century. 49.5 x 38 x12 cm. Wear notably to the gilding.
