Violin cartel and its Chinese console decorated with floral scrolls in marquetry, brown tortoise shell (Chelonioidea spp) (pre Convention), white mother-of-pearl and horn, with colored backgrounds (red, green and blue), engraved, on a brass background. Rich rocaille ornamentation in chased and gilded bronze, such as: shoulders, falls, feet, bases, moldings with frieze of shells or shell lips, figure of a Chinese seated with a parasol at the amortization, openwork cartridges, two of which with a dragon or a Chinese head. Circular white enamelled dial, signed "THIOUT l'Ainé à Paris", indexes with Roman numerals in blue for the hours and Arabic numerals and a black iron track for the minutes. Mechanical movement with key winding, signed "THIOUT l'Ainé à Paris", modified, in particular at the level of the ringing. Louis XV period. H. cartel : 55 cm. - H. console : 25 cm. Lifts, accidents and missing parts, notably to the marquetry. Some cracks in the bronze and wear to the gilding.
