° Cartel of architectural form in molded wood, blackened, with inlaid decoration in the first part of brass and pewter on a background of tortoise shell (Chelonioidea spp) (pre Convention) tinted red, tendrils, scrolls and foliage. The uprights in detached columns or pilasters on pedestals, plated with white mother-of-pearl, topped with Corinthian capitals in chased and gilded bronze. The molded top part underlined by a balustrade and flanked by gilded bronze fire pots. Ring-shaped dial in gilt brass, indexes with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Gilt bronze applique motif decorated with leaning consoles joined by a garland, on a base with clawed feet, with a cartouche signed "MARGUERITE à Paris". Mechanical movement with key winding. Turntable signed "MARGUERITE à Paris". Suspension with wire. Trapezoidal base in blackened wood veneer, surrounded by a thick garland of gilded bronze flowers, resting on four feet in godronnée sheath. Louis XIV style, with reemployment of old elements. Some cracks; restorations; mother-of-pearl elements to be glued back; on the base, lifting of the veneer, some and missing, notably the ribbon and the copper nets on the top.
