Large silver chocolate pot (950) plain of baluster form resting on three arched feet with attachments in medallion and with neck underlined of nets.
The lid is molded, hinged, with a scroll poucier and fretel turned with flower decoration, on a swivel pastille.
The spout underlined by laurel leaves.
The body engraved, later, of coats of arms, under crown of marquis and bottom of knotted coat.
The right hand grip in turned wood, fixed with a nail. Old visible screw thread.
Goldsmith's hallmark: Etienne-François RENARD, received Master before 1756.
Marks of Recognition of the Jurisdiction of BESANCON [c.c] and the Jurisdiction of DOLE for 1774 [H fl. of lilies].
No marks on the reverse side of the lid.
