Both the shape and the size of this chest of drawers and the decoration of cubes are characteristic of the production of Jean François Oeben, who obtained the master's degree at the end of his career in 1761, date at which he is entitled to stamp. This date of 1761 combined with the date of Martin Etienne Lhermitte, probably the maker of the frame, allows us to advance the hypothesis of a dating between 1761 and 1765.
