DUSART, Cornelis A woman having her foot cupped. 1695 Etching, 25,9 x 17,9 cm, laid paper, signed and dated "Corn. Dusart. fe. et inv. 1695.", Dutch text (sl. foxed, light fold at bottom right, few light stains on edges, sm. tear at right edge). Good, later impression with wide margins. The outfits of the man and old woman make clear these are quacks. The Dutch verses give the whole scene a sexual connotation: "Zet jy de koppen maar, zei dikke Piet tot Tryn, / Ik slyp de vlymen vast, het zal haar heel cureeren, / En word Lys flau, en helpt geen veurschootband noch wyn, / Dan zal ik aanstonds met myn spuytding haar klisteeren."
