Portrait of Joseph II
Pastel on paper
Old tear and worm holes.
Size at sight : 43,5 X 32 cm
Joseph II is represented in a blue uniform with a red collar, wearing the Golden Fleece, the Grand Cordon of Maria Theresa and the Grand Cross of Maria Theresa. Our drawing was probably made after a pastel attributed by Neil Jeffares to Joseph Ducreux (1735-1802), a version of which is preserved in the Louvre Museum (INV 35084), and another in Klagenfurt Elisabethetinen Konvent (INV 419)
