Biography :
Jean Jaques SCHERRER (1855-1916) is a French painter of Alsatian origin trained at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. Mainly active during the modern period, he distinguished himself at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889 by receiving the bronze medal. He is renowned for his historical works such as the Entry of Joan of Arc in Orleans (1887).
