In-folio, [4] f., 271 p., [4] f. (table), figs, antique blond calf, modern six-ribbed spine, gilt title, double gilt fillet on covers (covers stained and scratched, corners dull; some soiling in margins of 1st ff., moderate brown spots). Beautiful edition illustrated with 268 mid-page woodcuts after compositions attributed to Jean Cousin. The dedication to the king is signed by Jean Le Clerc and bears the date of first publication of this work, in 1614. Title in red and black in a woodcut frame, woodcut initials, each page framed with a border of typographical fleurons. The New Testament is preceded by a blank page and a particular title page with the same date and address, these 2 leaves included in the pagination. (Bibles Paris, 1313).
