Unique edition of this work and first printing of the engravings of the count of Caylus, after compositions attributed to Rembrandt. The original drawings, acquired by the Louvre in 1842, have since been returned to the Dutch painter Gerbrand van den Eeckhout (1621-1674), a student of Rembrandt.
