II, pp. 165-166. , , , We are before the masterpiece of the painter and miniaturist Ramón Gil Rey who participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1840, reaping excellent reviews. It is an excellent visual testimony of the famous Red de San Luis in the mid-nineteenth century where we can see the bustling food market with the Galapagos fountain in the center (today in the Retiro) and the disappeared Church of San Luis Obispo, located on Calle de la Montera.
