Title page printed in red and black within large woodcut frame, 136 woodcut illustrations in text. Slight traces of use, skillful restoration to Frontispiece and some occasional repair to inner margin, good copy. Beautifully illustrated edition. Italian version edited by Francesco Lucio Durantino. The fine illustrations are taken from those in the first figured edition printed in Venice by Giovanni Tacuino. The first translation of Vitruvius appeared in Como in 1521 by Cesariano; this was followed in 1524 by a new, improved version by Francesco Lucio Durantino, of which this is a reprint with corrections.
