Also contains summary of each play and life of Plautus. In the dedicatory Epistle to Nicolaus von Schonberg, Bishop of Capua, Gian Francesco Asolano, editor of the edition states that the text of the XX comedies in this edition was taken from a copy of the manuscript with annotations by Erasmus and Aldo. In the preliminary papers: Index verborum, Argumenta singularum Comoediarum and Plauti vita ex Petro Crinito de poetis latinis.
