4/4 violin by Claude Augustin Miremont (1827-1887) made in 1879 and bearing his label with the Paris address: rue faubourg poissonnière. It also bears on the back inside a label with the mention "revised by E.Richard, luthier d'art, 20 rue Martainville, Rouen Year 1942". One-piece back in beautiful maple with medium, regular and flamed waves, 355mm. This rare example is made in J.Baptiste Guadagnini model. Good condition, close to the game (old assembly) sold with case.
