Emmanuel Théodose de la Tour d'Auvergne, Duc de Bouillon (1668-1730), was the son of Godefroy Maurice de la Tour d'Auvergne and Marie-Anne Mancini, one of Cardinal Mazarin's nieces. He was Grand Chamberlain of France between 1715 and 1728.
He married four times. His last wife, Louise Henriette Françoise de Lorraine, became a widow and was suspected of having poisoned the famous actress Adrienne Lecouvreur, who was his rival with Maurice de Saxe.
