The iron mark of the Grandes Ecuries of Versailles dates from the 19th century. Built by Jules-Hardouin Mansart between 1679 and 1682, the Small and Large Stables are located symmetrically on the other side of the Place d'armes. In the XIXth century they were used as a furniture storehouse.
