Addressed from Saint Marin d'Ardèche where he lived from 1938 to 1939 with Léonora Carrington. ...'Finally free (as we say finally alone)...I am anxious to see the N° of the Cahiers. But what to do about the paintings to be exhibited in the gallery of YVonne [Zervos]... ... could you inform me about the fate of the Drouin gallery. There were two of my paintings...Yvonne could take these paintings back to them (with a third by Carrington). My best regards and those of Leonora'.
