First collective edition of these 2 trips, published respectively in 1927 and 1928. These famous trips of André Gide are illustrated with 64 photographs by Marc Allégret. Edition at 1599 copies. This one is one of the 28 first copies on Japon Impérial, only large paper, numbered XIV. Between July 1925 and January 1926, André Gide travels through several African countries, showing their beauties, but also the harshness of the colonial system and the big companies towards the Africans.
