1924-1925. Pastel on paper, burnt sienna color, the outlines underlined with black pastel, the cap enhanced in yellow (40,5 x 51,2 cm), under a blackened wooden frame, gilded borders (small lacks, 57 x 73 cm). Inscription and signature of the artist in the lower right corner.
Beautiful portrait of a man from the province of Arebi (Congo) in a resting position, wearing a traditional bonnet. He is sitting on the ground, with his arms along his body, his hands crossed over his pubic area and his legs spread.
Trace of glue on the corners, slightly creased and dusty. Label on verso "Chiesa, prints - photographs. Marseille".
