Beautiful and long flintlock rifle, two shots, with superimposed revolving barrels. Round barrels with thunderbolts. Round-bodied locks in two parts; the front, with bassoon and bassoon spring; the rear, carrying the hammers and the mechanisms. Monodetente. Moving brass trigger guard with movable index front to unlock the barrels. Mounting in beautiful walnut chosen varnished. Stock with partly carved cheekpiece. Strong buttplate, counterplate and cut brass fittings. Wooden ramrod with brass tip and iron buttstock. B.E. About 1740/1760. Weapon reconditioned by one of the best gunsmiths of Saint-Etienne.
