Text volume: small in-4 in contemporary half vellum, smooth spine, red morocco title and greefs. XII + 232 pp. Spots of freckles on the title page, and scattered throughout the text. Large margins. RARE FIRST EDITION. Signed in 1768, the treaty of Versailles transferred Corsica from the Republic of Genoa to the Kingdom of France. The printing of this atlas and its text on the customs, the language, the culture of the Corsican people had then political aims.
