Born in Paris in 1941, Michel Vu is the son of the famous Vietnamese painter and sculptor Vu Cao Dam. He has lived in Paris, Vence, Saint-Paul de Vence, Majorca and Essaouira. He studied art at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Nice. In 1974, he moved to Ghazoua, near Essaouira in Morocco, a place that will continue to inspire him.
