[According to the Royal Academy of History, Romano Marabini y Emiliano, was a reputed gold and silver artificer. Born probably in Ravenna (Italy), about 1830, he died in Madrid in 1896. He must have settled in Madrid around 1860 with his family. He first had a silverware store in Espoz y Mina Street, nº 1 and later moved to Montera Street, nº 7. In 1886 an advertisement of Romano Marabini's store began to be published in the Madrid press in the jeweler's section. On April 30, 1896, the magazine "La Ilustración Española y Americana" presented the ducal crown commissioned to Marabini by the Duchess of Nájera, which this lady wore at the coronation ceremony of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, and which was his last work, since the goldsmith died in February of that same year]. 33,7
