1972 MERCEDES BENZ Type 300 SEL 3.5 Serial number : 10905612008497 French registration 22 000 / 25 000 € The Mercedes 300 SEL 3.5 represented the top of the range of the S class at the time and the flagship of the brand. Only the engine differed from the mythical 6.3. The latter was more powerful but also more brutal. It was designed to cut down miles on the highway at high speed. The Mercedes 300 SEL 3.5 was more homogeneous and its 200 hp gave it excellent performance with great flexibility and driving pleasure. In addition to the abundance of chrome and woodwork, the 300 SEL was equipped with an air suspension that provided high quality comfort and better handling. The car's attitude remained constant in all circumstances. It was also equipped with power steering, four electric windows and central locking. Customers could choose between leather or Pullman velvet upholstery. The Mercedes 300 SEL 3.5 model shown was delivered new on May 9, 1972. It is in surprisingly original condition. A file of invoices will be given to the buyer, as well as its original "prise en main" booklet. The technical control is of course valid. At the wheel of this Mercedes Benz 300 SEL 3.5, we are propelled 51 years back in time. 1972 MERCEDES BENZ Type 300 SEL 3.5 Serial number: 10905612008497 French registration 22 000 / 25 000 € The Mercedes 300 SEL 3.5 was the top of the range of the S class at the time and the flagship of the brand.
