The Countess EBLÉ, born Edeline Louise Fréteau de Pény (1789-1838), daughter of Emmanuel Fréteau de Pény (victim of the French Revolution), lord of Vaux-le-Pénil and Saint-Liesne, counsellor of the Grand Chamber at the Parliament of Paris, deputy at the Estates General of 1789. She married General Eblé on April 5, 1809, who was to become a bridge-builder on the Berezina in 1812 - A.S. letter from Paris dated July 24, 1814.
