In 1971, the Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, commemorated 2500 years of the Persian Empire. The celebration, held in Persepolis, was attended by countless prestigious guests. A few weeks later, another memorable celebration was held in Iran for the benefit of children with tuberculosis: the "Little White Beds 50th Anniversary Ball". This pendant was given to some of the prestigious guests of this charity ball.
