DIGNIMONT (André) French painter and illustrator (1891-1965) Two autograph letters signed to Georgette Martin. Paris, October 28, 1961 and early 1965. 1 pp. in-4 and 1 p. small in-8. In the first letter, the painter shares the pain of his dear friend Georgette [Martin], following the death of her husband [Ivan]. "We are shocked by the terrible news that has just reached us. We loved Mr. Martin very much and we find it hard to believe that we will not see each other again...". The second letter, decorated with a festive scene, was written shortly before his death (in February 1965), he informs his dear friend of his poor health.
