11969 - Porsche 911 2.2L E Targa French registration Chassis n°9110210184 Engine n°911/01-6200382 "Versatile 2.2L mechanical injection model with 155 horsepower "Bright "Viper Green" color and good general condition with expertise "Restored engine at Porsche Classic in Vélizy in 2016 for nearly 20 000 €. " A classic 911 convertible still almost affordable for the moment The "classic" 911 we present is an E version with the 2.2-liter engine, produced only two years, in its "Targa" variation that became iconic at Porsche. It is one of the 933 examples of 911 2.2L Targa of the 1970 vintage. In "Viper Green" with black leatherette interior and gold lettering with Fuchs rims and the characteristic Durant round mirror of the 911, it has a typical seventies presentation, as joyful as attractive. Especially since this pretty green flashy color is consistent with its factory configuration. Without being in "concours" condition, the general presentation of the car, whose body is very healthy, is good. The paint, which has been redone in the past, is still nice and the chrome is bright, including the famous brushed stainless steel roll bar that is so characteristic. The interior, meanwhile, is well preserved and has just the right amount of patina on such a vintage car. This 911 E is equipped with the optional five-speed transmission, making it much more enjoyable to use. The engine and transmission numbers are consistent with the type and year of production. An expertise carried out in 2018 will be able to assure its next purchaser of the good state of conservation of this car, whose meter now shows a little more than 35,000 km, A history file testifies to the attention given to this 911 since the mid-2000s. Notably, after its purchase in 2015 by the current owner, the engine was fully restored by the specialized Porsche Classic center of Velizy in the Paris region in 2016, at a cost of nearly €20,000, while the odometer was counting 28704 km. Subsequently, after the engine break-in, the tires were changed in May 2018 and the car was serviced in October 2019. It is thus a classic 911 that has been made reliable and whose mechanics are in full health to fully enjoy with the beautiful days coming! The 911 is undoubtedly one of those cars that have marked the history of the automobile and our example is therefore an excellent opportunity to access the first generation, probably the most emblematic, especially in its convertible version, for a reasonable price. It is also a safe investment: the classic 911s are cars that will not depreciate in value as reliable and performing classics, especially in this interesting and homogeneous E version, produced in a limited number of units.
