Rare canvas alphabet book published by a famous publisher specialized in music. Three to four letters (blue, red and black) per canvas and varnished board, placed in the left margin and at the foot. Two to three color compositions per page. Only one copy referenced in the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Very well preserved with a minor lack of varnish in the center of two leaves. Attached: - ABC fun. Album for our babies on varnished cloth. A. Capendu, Editor. Paris. [Circa 1890]. Printed by Emrik & Binger, Haarlem, Holland. In-4 (25 x 19,8 cm). (18) pp. including storm guards: publisher's album, red-grained percaline spine, first cover lithographed in color. Eight lithographed plates, varnished and applied on canvas, illustrated with scenes of animals and young children. In perfect condition. - Le Premier Livre de Bébé. Imagier entirely printed on canvas and glossy. Minimal rubbing on the edges. Set of three primers on cloth, no reference in libraries for the last two.
