Uncommon alphabet primer with six plates of mixed alphabet illustrated in chromolithography.
Four color illustrations per page, some signed GHT. Initial at the head, caption or short sentence in bistre on the image which puts in scene children in their games and animals. Alphabets, multiplication table, syllabary and numbers on the other pages.
The name of Louis Westhausser no longer precedes the address of this publisher, which allows to date the book approximately. On April 1st, 1900, Messrs Dambuyant and Guignard took over the Nouvelle Librairie de la Jeunesse founded by Louis Westhausser in 1885.
