[ABC, rebus, architecture, divination].
No address, no place, no date. [At the Merchants de nouveautés ? Paris. ca. 1815]. (10,5 x 6,8 cm). 25/25 engraved and colored cards, square corners, dominoté paper spine with blue repeated pattern.
Precious complete set of twenty-five alphabetical cards, finely engraved and colored.
Initials from A to Z (no W) in a square, at the head on the left, rebus on its right. And great architectural illustration on the rest of the picture, strange buildings with geometrical shapes. A question is engraved above the architecture on the letters from A to L, the answers are on the cards M to Y (nothing on the Z, in order to keep the pairs).
Multiple game; letters, rebus, divination and architectural images, the latter certainly hiding another interpretation to discover.
Rare and very well preserved.
