In 1929, Man Ray introduced Alberto Giacometti to Jean-Michel Frank (1895-1941)
who was a major decorator of the Art Deco period. "There was in Paris, in the life of style, a Frank moment." (J. Lassaigne, former director of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris). This collaboration will allow lamps, wall lights and suspensions with simple and pure forms of Alberto Giacometti, to integrate with happiness in the harmonious creations of minimalist and refined interiors of the designer.
Around 1935, Alberto Giacometti created the "Version Étoile" floor lamp for the great fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, from which our lamp is directly inspired.
