Edition of the sixth song of the Odyssey decorated with 52 color compositions by Gaston de Latenay, 23 of which are full-page and 2 on the cover, engraved on wood by Ruckert and delicately stenciled. Edition at 400 copies, this one on japon not numbered and justified "copy offered to M. Greningaire", the colorist of the work. Splendid illustration, perhaps the most emblematic of Symbolism: "The immobility and static archelogical style of the poetry are matched by the pale, cool, lyrical coloring and formalized linear style of the illustrations - landscapes with classical figures rhythmically disposed" (The Turn of the Century, n°70).
