AGRA carpet (India), late 19th century Dimensions: 291 x 253cm. Technical characteristics : wool velvet on cotton foundation. An ivory field supports a stylized polychrome vegetal decoration in the "Herati" style composed of an alignment of floral compositions and scrolling ruby leaves. The border, segmented into four parts brick, cream, anthracite and cherry, is decorated with four garlands of waving flowers. Beautiful distinction, despite its condition (Wear, as is)
