TÉKKÉ BOUKHARA carpet (Central Asia), early 20th century

Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on wool foundation.
A salmon pink field supports three columns of nine Gühls " Tékké ", linked by a thread-like lattice, interspersed with secondary Gühls " Gourbaka ". The frame is composed of nine small borders with a series of star-shaped and cruciform flowers, "Kotchaks" and stylized geometric forms. Plant reserves at each end. Curious and beautiful palette.
