Trix HO/Ref 22571 limited edition "Fine Art" from... Lot 1

Trix HO/Ref 22571 limited edition "Fine Art" from 2001. Metal engine "DR class H 45". Very rare collector's item. Brand new condition. Original packaging with wooden box. L 32 cm! * The prototype H45 024 was built in 1951 by the State Railways of the former German Democratic Republic, based on a class 45 freight engine built by the Reichsbahn in 1941. This friendly project turned out to be a total failure! Only two tests were carried out, both of which had to be stopped after a few kilometers due to multiple problems, among others with the condenser. The IfS was going to submit proposals for changes and improvements to the process, but it was too late. In view of the costs involved, the ongoing electrification and the introduction of the first thermal train services, the proposals were not pursued. The machine remained at the Raw in Meiningen for several years and was eventually written off. The two outer cylinders and the entire rear frame including the tender coupling were used in the construction of the 18 201 speed machine.
