Jamuga. Morocco or Syria, late 19th century. Carved wood and mother-of-pearl. There are faults in the mother-of-pearl and in the carving. Measurements: 104 x 47 x 55 cm. Armchair inspired by the old jamuga, although with a rigid seat instead of leather. Made of wood, it is decorated with mother-of-pearl carvings and appliqués, based on the repetition of plant motifs in relief. The markedly curved seat continues the flowing forms that make up the rest of the piece.
