The artistic language of Ángel Esteban Maturén oscillates between different styles: post-impressionism, hyperrealism, early abstraction, trans-avant-garde, material abstraction and social painting. His eclectic personality has led him to live in different places (Madrid, Lanzarote, his studio in Sierra de Luna, Paris, Logroño...), leaving an intense mark and an extensive legacy in Tarazona. He met Miquel Barceló. During his stay in Lanzarote, he also had contact with César Manrique and José Saramago, two of the island's great artists. He currently has a Foundation in Tarazona which is responsible for housing, cataloguing and inventorying all his work.
