Master in Artistic Production and Doctor in Fine Arts. He is a lecturer in the Painting Department of the Fine Arts Faculty of the Universitat Politècnica de València and a member of the Centro de Investigación Arte y Entorno (CIAE). He has published Figuración postconceptual (Fire Drill, 2012) and Pintura neometafísica (UPV, 2016) and coordinated publications such as Derivas de la nueva figuración madrileña and A través de la pintura (Fire Drill, 2013 and 2015). Since 1987 he has participated in more than a hundred group exhibitions and art fairs, and has held twenty-six solo exhibitions. Among the most recent are: All will be (Gala Gallery, Chicago, 2003), Tela de luz (My Name's Lolita Art Gallery, Madrid, 2004) and El arquitecto invisible (CAMA, Almería, 2005).
He has received grants from the Alfonso El Magnánimo Foundation of the Diputación de Valencia and the Cañada Blanch Foundation, and his works have been recognised in various museums and foundations such as the Reina Sofía Museum, the Bank of Spain in Madrid and the Weissman Foundation in Los Angeles, among others. In Almería, he is represented in the Museum of Almería and the Casa Ibáñez Museum. He was awarded the Bancaixa prize in 2001 and the Caja Sur prize in 2003.
