The little forget-me-not merchant, ca. 1780-1790
Folded fan, the painted silk sheet of a little boy holding a wafer called "oublie" that he hands to a young girl. She carries on her lap the dial of the drum used in the lottery to win the cupcakes.
On the sides, a flute player and a hurdy-gurdy player.
The reverse side is painted with three bouquets of flowers, including carnations, in medallions.
Mounting in ivory finely cut, engraved and gilded.
