Folded fan, the double sheet of yellow silk, painted with 18 figures illustrating characters of Japanese life including peasants, warriors or geishas.
Calligraphy on the left and red stamp.
The reverse side painted with a pheasant under a red maple tree, among flowers including peonies.
Bamboo frame, the edges with serrated effect. The ivory plumes carved and engraved with a portrait in a cartel, and decorated with insects in relief carved in hard stones and white mother-of-pearl, following the inlay technique called "shibayama".
