Audience at the palace, China, 19th century Folded fan, the painted paper sheet of an audience granted by a dignitary, installed on the terrace of his palace. Around him fourteen servants and visitors wear silk clothes in relief and an ivory head. The reverse side on a blue background of a silver cloud effect and three animated cartels of characters, with ivory heads and silk clothes. Sandalwood frame pierced with stylized flowers. Gilded metal hanger and tassel of passementerie. H.t. 28 cm - H.f. 12 cm (slight accidents, restorations)
