Amsterdam ; Leipzig, Arkstee et Merkus, 1763, two volumes in-12, volume I : XX (including the title page and false title), 407, [1 bl.] p., frontispiece, large folding map of Gaul (often missing), eight engravings out of the text, four of them to be unfolded, volume II : [1 (false title)], [1 bl.], [1 (title)], [1 bl.], 432 p., five engravings out of the text, two of them to be unfolded, full contemporary speckled calf, spines decorated with gilt fleurons, red edges. Translation by Nicolas Perrot d'Ablancourt (Châlons-sur-Marne, 1606 - Ablancourt, 1664) whose first edition was published in 1650 and was reprinted several times. The one presented here has been revised by Lemascrier and is increased by the large map of Gaul. A nice copy.
