Dignitary sword from the Second Empire period. Gilded brass mounting. Pommel with rocaille decoration, jointing arch decorated in suite with curved quillon in the extension. Keyboard openwork with the imperial eagle surrounded by a laurel wreath. Mother of pearl plates. Straight blade with triangular section engraved, gilded and blued in the third ending in volutes. Wooden scabbard covered with leather, chased bolt, missing the cap. Total length 94cm.
