Saber in the taste of the sailors of the Guard. Bronze mounting. Oval cap decorated with line, V-shaped jointing bow with curved quillon ending with a ball in the extension, marked "DUC". Cruiser in the shape of a shield engraved with an anchor on one side, "Manufacture Royale à Versailles Boutet" in cursive letter (later). Wooden spindle covered with watermarked leather. Slightly curved blade with throat and counter edge, marked on the back "Couleaux frères". Leather scabbard with two brass fittings, cap marked with a Maltese cross. Length of the blade : 66cm Total length :85cm France, First Empire period.
